Try Searching the web for “make money at home” and you’ll get a million results.  The majority of these money making schemes are all fraudulent.  So what is an honest hard working parent to do?

There are very few legitimate sources of income on the web available to you.  All require hard work and diligence, but they do pay off.

1.  EBay - start selling your items that are cluttering up your house instead of throwing them away.  Don’t pay for a “how to ebay” program.  If you need help listing an item, contact ebay, not only do they have a wonderful customer service, but they have forums full of helpful sellers that can answer questions for you.

2.  Refferal Swapper - It is just as easy to use as ebay!  It’s free to check out the site and look around.  People sign up to find those willing to complete offers for them in exchange for cash, sent via paypal.  Last year I made $600 in just one month.  It costs $9.99 to sign up as a member, but you will make that back in 15 minutes.

3.  RSFreebies - Run by the same friendly person as Referral Swapper, except this time, you are the one working for freebies.  You refer a few of your friends to sign up for an offer and the company sends you gift cards.  Choose from $260,  $300, or $120.  Please read terms and conditions carefully as they are serious about keeping you honest.  If you fulfill your requirements, you will receive the money.

4.  Amazon - If you have an amazon account, you can sell your old media.  This includes books, video games and movies.  Your money is directly deposited into your bank account by amazon. Just open up a seller account and start listing.

5.  Start your own website if you are good at something or have a product to sell.  Hosting sites start at as little as $7.00 per month if you shop around.

6.  Start your own home based business.  If you have children at home, it is easy and fun to watch an extra child.  Look for children in your neighborhood that are around the same age as your children.  Check the papers for elderly shut ins that need someone to shop for them and check in on them.
