Warehouse Clubs (continued)

10.  Honey & Syrup - Great prices for natural Maple Syrup.  About $4 lb.

Honey will last forever so you can’t go wrong buying it in bulk. It makes a wonderful addition to any of your whole wheat recipes.  Less than $2 lb.

11.  Raisins - You can purchase about 5 lbs of Raisins for $6.50. Aside from being a great snack right out of the bag this versatile dried fruit can be added to nutritious cookies and bars.

12.  Dried Blueberries - A great price for blueberries $8/lb.  Use them in blueberry muffins and pancakes.  No bleeding into the dough like you get from fresh blueberries.

13.  Pizza Sauce - Freeze portions in freezer bags and tape them to individual portions of Mozzarella Cheese next to homemade Focaccia Breads or balls of dough. At less than $3.00 a huge CAN, you save TONS over store bought expensive pizza sauces. And with those kits in the freezer, you will be less likely to pay $30.00 for pizza delivery. At around $2.00 per large homemade cheese pizza you can’t lose. Don’t forget to use leftovers for toppings, anything goes with Pizza!

14.  Chopped Tomatoes - Very versatile ingredient and can be used up in a day with a couple recipes. Again at less than $3.00 a huge can, you will get a lot of savings versus buying small cans at your local grocer.

15.    Tomato Sauce - Use this as a base to your own homemade marinara sauce. Very Cost Effective as jarred Spaghetti Sauces are about $4.00 in retail stores for 16 oz, versus 72 ounces for the same price.

16.  Meat - The prices at Warehouse clubs are never as good as local grocery store sales.  It is better to buy in bulk at the grocery store during sales.

17.  Produce - Out of season, purchase at warehouse clubs.  In season, your local grocer has the better deals.  Frozen Fruit is a better buy at the Warehouse Club and frozen vegetables are better purchased during grocer’s sales.
